How does Maison Asrar Hikaya smell?
Bergamot gives the first moments a brief citrus lift, but the real character of the top is saffron and praline side by side: one dry, slightly bitter and golden, the other a roasted-nut sweetness. By the heart, rose adds a soft floral thread while caramel supplies a buttery, toffee-like sweetness. Cashmere Wood, a plush, smooth woody-musky effect, gives that sugar a soft surface so it does not turn sticky. On paper this is a sweet opening, lightly framed by citrus and spice.
Vanilla carries the base, and with musk and ambergris beside it the sweetness gains a clean, skin-like backdrop. Ambergris is usually a salty, softly mineral note, so it should cut through the confectionery side a little. You can expect a rounded, creamy-sweet Oriental gourmand: nutty and toffee-like first, then vanilla and musk smoothing everything out, with the rose and saffron present as accents more than as headline notes.
What Maison Asrar's own page says about Hikaya
Maison Asrar's product page for Hikaya gives its family as oriental and gourmand.
It also puts words of its own on three of the notes: rose (floral, elegant, romantic), praline (sweet, warm, gourmand) and saffron (spicy, warm, opulent).
Who might like Maison Asrar Hikaya?
This note list is for someone who likes sweets: praline, caramel and vanilla, kept from cloying by a little spice, a floral thread and a clean musk. If that appeals, other Maison Asrar scents built on vanilla and musk with a gourmand or Oriental label share the same backbone and make a fair note-by-note comparison.
