How does Maison Asrar Fairyland smell?
Mandarin and bergamot give a sweet-and-sharp zest, and cinnamon wraps it in warm, glowing spice, so the opening is bright, sweet and warm at once. In the heart, rose supplies the familiar floral softness, geranium adds a green, leafy rosiness, and cypriol is a dark, smoky, earthy root note. That combination should make the middle feel like a rose seen through smoke and spice, not a pure floral.
Musk, patchouli and cedarwood sit underneath. Patchouli is damp and earthy, cedarwood is dry and clean, and musk softens the edges. You can expect an Oriental that is more woody and earthy than sugary: spice up front, smoky rose in the middle, and a dry-earthy base, with no obviously sweet note to soften it. Nothing in the base is sticky or creamy, so the earthy dryness is the main impression of the finish.
