Leather is an accord, not a material: smoky, dry, slightly animalic notes, often built from birch tar and quinolines, suggest tanned hide. Adds a dark, supple, slightly smoky texture to the heart and base. It pairs with saffron, iris, tobacco, labdanum and woods, and can lean sweet and suede-like or dry and smoky.
