How does Maison Asrar Rey smell?
Fougère is the classic aromatic-fresh structure, and geranium is the note that signals it most clearly: green, leafy and a little sharp. Bergamot and grapefruit add a bright citrus edge. In the heart, tonka brings a sweet, soft, vanilla-leaning warmth, Aromatic stands for herbal freshness in general, and black pepper adds a dry, warm sparkle, so the middle is a mix of sweetness and bite rather than a straight herbal freshness.
Musk, ambergris and vanilla make a soft, clean, faintly sweet base. Ambergris adds a salty, smooth, skin-like warmth, vanilla keeps the finish round, and musk smooths the edges. With the ambery label in mind, you can expect a crisp, herbal-citrus opening that softens into warm, smooth sweetness instead of ending on sharp herbs. On paper it is a clean classic given a vanilla-and-ambergris cushion.
What Maison Asrar's own page says about Rey
Maison Asrar's product page for Rey gives its family as fougere and ambery.
It also puts words of its own on one of the notes: aromatic (herbal, fresh, vibrant).
Who might like Maison Asrar Rey?
Someone drawn to the clean, herbal-citrus side of a fougère who still wants a soft vanilla and musk finish. The tonka and black pepper pairing in the middle keeps it from being purely fresh. Other fougère and ambery pages in the range are the obvious ones to read alongside, especially to see how much sweetness each adds below the citrus.
